Are you in project management or an analyst who has been tasked to track the status of projects? Then, this is the Bootcamp for you! This Bootcamp will cover essential tracking charts + graphs and dashboards for project management, such as status reports, project timelines, project portfolios, and budget tracking.
Please note in the Bootcamp, we will review how to create these tracking templates. We will only touch on the basics of project management and expectations in terms of visual tracking expectations.
Prerequisites: Microsoft Excel Beginner + Intermediate Bootcamp or knowledge of the following: VLOOKUP, If Statements, SUM, AVERAGE, Mathematical Operations, Formatting, and Navigating through Worksheets


Part 1: Gantt Charts

In the first portion of the Bootcamp, you will learn about and build your first project management chart using Gantt charts.


Course 1: Gantt Charts (Part 1)

  • Overview of Gantt charts
  • Create one of the most popular charts in project management
  • Format worksheets for visual output

Course 2: Gantt Charts (Part 2)

  • Input formulas
  • Add charts/graphs for Gantt format

Part 2: Project Management Portfolio Dashboard

In the second portion of the Bootcamp, you will learn how to build a Project Management Portfolio Dashboard. This will be lots of fun!


Course 3: Project Management Status Dashboard (Part 1)

  • Review all projects to be input into the dashboard
  • Map out the formulas to use in the dashboard

Course 4: Project Management Status Dashboard (Part 2)

  • Create formulas in template

Course 5: Project Management Status Dashboard (Part 3)

  • Create more formulas in template

Courses 6 - 10 : Project Management Status Dashboard (Parts 4 - 8)

  • Charts/graphs buildout


Microsoft Excel 2013 or newer required for PC and Mac Laptops

We will create a portfolio of your completed projects and assignments of all coursework from class as well as provide an instruction guide on how to add the portfolio to your LinkedIn account. Portfolios come in great handy when interviewing for roles that require the technical skills in which you will learn in class.
